AUGS Rules

Like every society, AUGS has its own unique RULES which are enforced by its supervisors. Please read them carefully as they are taken very seriously, and care is exercised to make sure they are applied objectively and equitably. They have been formulated for your own benefit, so that you may have a disciplined gaming experience. If you break a rule intentionally, expect problems. Secondly, please respect AUGS, its management and the atmosphere that AUGS shall create in the university premises. Whether during a routine gaming session or at an organized tournament, keep in mind that AUGS can only grow from your pleasant collaboration.

Member Rules
  • Rule No. 1: Respect the management, other players and the games.
  • AUGS has zero tolerance for smoking or littering at any time.
  • Eatables/drinks are not allowed inside the lab.
  • All AUGS members are required to pay the mandatory registration fees every semester which is non-refundable & non-transferable under any circumstances.This fees shall be utilized for the development of the society and its activities under supervision from the President.
  • All members must sign the Attendance Sheet before a gaming session.
  • Members must respect the decisions of the President, the Management Team and Lab Administrators.
  • AUGS members cannot arrange tournaments/matches themselves without prior written permission from AUGS.
  • AUGS members will be responsible for any item broken or misplaced.
  • AUGS will only provide a standard keyboard and mouse for playing, unless otherwise stated.
  • Members themselves shall be responsible for bringing any extra items to the lab. AUGS shall not be held responsible in case of damage, loss or theft.
  • Usage of foul language may result in suspension/termination of membership.
  • Members must login only from the given username and password by AUGS.
  • Members must display their original AUGS Membership Cards when asked.
  • No member can expel/dismiss any other member from the society or lab without the permission of AUGS Management Team.
  • AUGS may use an audio/video recording system in the lab for monitoring of discipline.
  • All members must be present on time during an AUGS general meeting.
  • Any outsider/non-member is NOT allowed for gaming.
  • Only the AUGS President or Management Team must be contacted in case of any quarrels/disputes.
  • All members must exhibit good discipline and mature behavior. Any member not obeying the rules may be terminated from the society.

Gaming Rules
PLEASE NOTE:
These rules are to be strictly followed DURING all games.
  • An AUGS supervisor shall create the game server for every game. You may freely suggest for any changes.
  • Cheating in ANY form is NOT ALLOWED. This applies to all forms of cheat codes, patches, cracks, scripts, etc.
  • You ARE allowed to communicate freely with your own friends or team mates as long as you maintain discipline and talk politely.
  • You cannot use abusive or offensive slang language as a nickname. e.g. stupid, foolish, choora.
  • You cannot use a nickname that is insulting to a real-life person, religion or entity, e.g. Stupid Ahmed, Bad Buddha, Kill Airians.
  • If your nickname is judged inappropriate, you will be asked to select an appropriate name yourself. If you cannot or will not do so, a supervisor will select a name on your behalf and change it.
  • You cannot use offensive/slang language while chatting.
  • Do not repeatedly quit or drop-out from the game server just to get out of different situations such as combat. If found guilty, you may be asked to leave.
  • You cannot reveal information about your own team’s game play to another team or vice versa.
  • You cannot use any forum or message board to engage in libel or slander, to spread rumors, malicious information or false information about an individual.
  • You cannot continue speaking to someone who expresses a desire to be left alone once spoken to.
  • You cannot harass AUGS supervisors & members, or their work.
  • You have the right to complain but you do not have the right to harass.
